Smart deployment The Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police General Command organised the awareness exhibition at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi, presenting a range of innovative projects focused on digital education and modern traffic patrol solutions. The showcase highlighted smart traffic robots designed to communicate directly with the public, offering guidance on road safety and explaining traffic regulations in an accessible format. Brigadier Mahmoud Yousef Al Blooshi, Director of the Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, stated that the exhibition reflects the force’s commitment to reaching a wide segment of society. He emphasised that raising awareness of traffic laws and encouraging compliance plays a vital role in reducing road accidents and protecting lives and property. Public engagement Major Ahmed Abdullah Al Mehairi, Director of the Traffic Robots Project, explained that workshops conducted during the exhibition introduced visitors to the functionality of the smart robots. These included digital traffic awareness videos, responses to public queries, traffic guidance, educational lectures, and safety instructions delivered across various activities and events. The smart robots also engaged with visitors by providing real-time responses and sharing information on safe driving practices. The interactive setup was designed to strengthen public understanding of road safety rules while encouraging responsible behaviour among drivers and pedestrians.
